Educational Outreach

Engineers Week is an exciting time for engineers and scientists to celebrate the positive contributions made to society and to participate in outreach activities and events for kids and adults alike.

Teachers interested in an engineer visiting their class during eWeek can complete a visit request by clicking here. Through personal interaction with an engineer leading an activity in your classroom, we can help relate the practical applications of math, science, and engineering to the real world and help your students develop a positive identification with engineers and engineering. Classroom visits will be conducted beginning on Monday, February 18, 2020 through Friday, February 21, 2020.

If you are interested sharing your excitement about engineering with kids and inspiring the next generation of engineers, sign up now for a classroom visit during eWeek! We provide activities, supplies and direction, and you share an hour of your time. View our map to sign up or contact the educational coordinator Ted Smithwick at: With your help we can relate practical applications of math, science, and engineering to the world around students and inspire them to become engineers too! ALL engineers are welcome.
